Remote control synchronisation

First of all, the transponder of the new remote control needs to be taught in. To do this, connect the Jifeline vci to the vehicle and follow the instructions provided by the Jifeline technician.

  • All handheld transmitters should be present with the car
  • Maximum number of remote controls that can be taught in is four
  • Open the driver's door, all other doors should be closed including the tailgate
  • The contact must be switched off

Prepare vehicle to synchronise remote controls

  1. Switch the ignition on and off again
  2. Close driver's door and open again, repeat twice
  3. Switch the ignition on and off again
  4. Close driver's door and open again, repeat twice
  5. Close the driver's door
  6. Lock the vehicle with the button on the driver's door
  7. Execute within 40 seconds:
  8. Ignition on, wait 1 second
  9. Ignition off, wait 1 second
  10. Ignition on, wait 1 second
  11. Ignition off, wait 1 second
  12. Unlock the vehicle with the button on the driver's door
  13. The central locking system will now lock and unlock twice

Synchronising the remote control(s)

Execute within 40 seconds

  1. Simultaneously press and hold both the open and close buttons of the remote control for at least 1 second
  2. Release both buttons for at least half a second
  3. Now press one of the buttons on the remote control within 3 seconds, hold for at least 1.5 seconds
  4. Release the button and wait at least 5 seconds
  5. Central locking should now lock and unlock (1x)
  6. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for all other handheld transmitters

 

To finish the procedure switch the ignition on and off again.

Now test the remotes.
